Angra-2 nuclear power plant, Brazil
The nuclear power plant Angra is one of the few nuclear plants in Brazil. The plant is located in Angra Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA) in Playa Itaorna in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This is two nuclear pressurized water reactors
- The nuclear reactor Angra 1 has a net power of 637 MWe, connected to the electricity grid for the first time in 1985.
- The nuclear reactor Angra 2 has a net capacity of 1,350 MWe, I connectado to the electricity grid in 2000.
- It is working on a third reactor, Angra 3, which will have an estimated capacity of 1,405 MWe. Construction began in 1984 but stopped in 1986. Work resumed in on June 1, 2010 to enter service between 2015 and 2018.

The complex of Angra Nuclear Power Plant is managed by Eletronuclear, a state company that has a monopoly of nuclear power generation in Brazil. In the complex 3000 people work and indirectly creates jobs for 10,000 others in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
